DEmul

Developed by a bunch of programmers, DEmul has become one of the primary choices for Sega Dreamcast and arcade games. The emulator brings access to some of the top rated Sega Dreamcast games, as well as a few world renowned arcade releases – such as Atomiswave, NAOMI and NAOMI 2. The emulator has been through a few updates overtime, with the latest one in the spring of 2018. There are less likely to be any further updates. The emulator is only available on Windows systems.

Apart from running Sega Dreamcast games – with the main requirement of Windows CE, DEmul will also be able to load ROMs in CHD and GDI formats. Not all CHD files seem to work though – newer versions may cause crashing issues, so stick to chdman 0.143 only. As for the actual code, DEmul is given as a closed source program. It can be downloaded for free.
