Introduced by Lord Cheese, Dreamemu was a highly appraised Sega Dreamcast emulator. The last update came out in the fall of 2002, as Dreamemu was released as a public alpha version. A commercial version was also expected for a while, but the project was abandoned. While it has always been in a development stage, it did not have too many bugs and issues, so it is still a viable option today. The program is available as closed source software. Currently discontinued, it means there are no further updates to come.
Features are relatively limited, but the emulator can easily replicate old fashioned games. There are better alternatives out there, yet it can make a good option as well. It runs with Windows XP or newest versions of Windows and 2GB of RAM are more than enough for an authentic gaming experience. As for the actual processor, 2GHz is ideal.
