FreeDO is a closed source emulator created with the one and only purpose to bring back content made for the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer platform. While the platform might be gone now, old school memories are always welcomed. The project has always been described as never ready. The development team behind it claimed there will always be work to do. As a result, a final and complete version has never really been released. With all these, the latest versions are stable and perfectly replicate the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer platform. The emulator only works on WIN32 systems. A version for PocketPC was in development, while the MacOsX version was undergoing tests when the project was abandoned.
The last release of FreeDO was in 2004. While old and outdated, the emulator is still a popular choice for those who want to bring back the classic 3DO Interactive Multiplayer experience in an accurate and exciting way.
