GeMP stands for GameBoy Emulator Media Player. It is a GameBoy emulator for PSP. The emulator has had a turbulent history. It was passed from one developer to another and each of them brought in some new upgrades. One of the latest version has been released in 2006. The emulator kept getting better and better, but no one picked up from where it was left. Therefore, many features are left unfinished. While the emulator works fairly well and it is still widely used, some people may encounter some bugs. It is worth noting that it comes for free and it can be downloaded and updated if someone else wants to continue the job.
All in all, some of the updates from the latest version bring in a new eLoader icon – chosen by the community through an art contest, as well as a new default menu background and a complete file browser.
