Initially released as Kega II and sometimes referred to as Fushion, Kega Fushion is a versatile emulator that can handle platforms like Sega Mega Drive, SG 1000 and SC 3000, among a few others. It will run on almost any operating system – Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. The initial versions of this emulator had a few bugs – they were given version numbers starting with 0.1, followed by a letter. The system was abandoned a while later when the developer jumped to version 3.0.
Kega Fusion is different from other Sega Mega Drive emulators. Instead of boosting the speed or bringing in new features, this emulator is mostly focused on accuracy. Everything replicates the classic games – including parts that players were not very happy about. The emulator is well optimized and runs with no issues at all. The latest version was released in 2010, so it was abandoned.
