Sixtyforce is a Nintendo 64 emulator. It can handle both PowerPC and x86 based machinery, yet the emulator has been specifically created for Mac OS X. Compared to other emulators, Sixtyforce may not be as diversified as them, but it can provide a pleasant and smooth experience that replicates the old fashioned experience. PPC games are easy to play and they can also be enjoyed over G4 and G5 processors.
You can download and use Sixtyforce for free. There is also a premium version though. Choose the free version and you will not be able to save the progress – quite a problem. Other than that, this version comes with the actual logo on the screen as you play. These are the only differences between the free and premium versions. It is not expensive to get though. The emulator has become proprietary software from version 0.9.2, meaning the source code is no longer given.
