Snes9xTYL is a Super Nintendo Entertainment System emulator that goes hand in hand with other releases sharing a common name. The entire series is focused on SNES, yet each emulator has a few features that make it unique. This one is known for the exquisite sound emulation through Media Engine. From many points of view, it is the most stable emulator for PSP out there – less likely to crash, get stuck or enter a loop, regardless of the game you play. Snes9xTYL is open source and available free of charge – no fees or premium subscriptions are required for it.
It has individual game settings, lots of hacks to speed up the emulation, configurable inputs, screen calibration and full sound emulation. The SPC playback function is not to be overlooked either, not to mention cheat codes and a deeply customizable background. Some save states can be compatible with other emulators too – mostly those in the Snes9x series.
