VirtuaNES

Developed as an open source project, VirtuaNES is a Famicom (Nintendo Entertainment System) emulator. It works on Microsoft Windows machines only. It is available in Japanese only, yet it is quite easy to install and intuitive. The emulator has gained notoriety among certain users only. It provides support for a few less known peripherals that many other emulators cannot deal with. Being old and abandoned, it is not extremely accurate, yet it is common for those using those accessories. It features a real-time memory hex editor, movie recording and a graphical NSF player.

The latest version available for download is 0.97 and it is available for free. Some of the accessories it can emulate include the Arkanoid Paddle, FamilyBasic Keyboard, Space Shadow Gun, Family Trainer and Oeka Kids Tablet, among many others. The project has been developed based on the demand for a proper emulation of such extra accessories.
